Agora pre-event in Udine

27 October-1 November 2006

Since an Agora is a lot of discussing and attending workshops, I (Sien) decided to take some real 'relaxing' holiday before. So 1 week before, I already headed off for Italy. Toghether with Chiara, an Italian friend of mine, I explored Padova (the city with the largest square in Europe or something? at least, I have to admit, it is very big) and after that we took the train together to the pre-event in Udine.
There we found a mix of Polish, Russian, Serbian, German and off course Italian people. We went to windy Triƫste, lovely Venice and to Gorizia & Nova Gorizia: a city literaly ON the border of Italy and Slovenia, where there 's a passport control in the middle of town, but also a mutual square from the two countries. We went winetasting, to a workshop from an artist who makes flowers out of plastic bottels and to a Halloween party. Let the pictures speek for themselves...
